RO AMC Plans: What to Check Before You Pay

An RO annual maintenance contract should be evaluated by its written coverage, not only by price or a plan name. Visit frequency, replacement limits, eligibility, exclusions and activation conditions determine what the customer actually receives.

Confirm the visit structure

Check the number of scheduled visits and additional complaint visits separately. Ask how scheduled visits are requested, whether unused visits carry forward and whether the activation inspection counts as a visit. A high total without this distinction can be difficult to evaluate.

Also confirm response and appointment terms. A service enquiry may still depend on PIN-code serviceability and technician availability; it should not be presented as guaranteed instant attendance.

Read consumable coverage item by item

The plan should name sediment filters, carbon filters, membrane and pre-filter spun candles separately, with the maximum eligible quantity or frequency. Words such as ‘filters covered’ are not enough when several filtration stages have different prices and functions.

Ask whether replacement depends on inspection and compatibility. Written limits protect both the customer and service provider from misunderstanding during the AMC term.

Understand electrical and mechanical part limits

Pump, SMPS, solenoid valve and float valve coverage should state any replacement cap, diagnosis requirement and approval condition. The existence of a limit does not mean each covered part will automatically be replaced; replacement should follow verified need.

Cabinet, water tank, faucet, housings, UV barrel, sensors, LED display and PCB may have different rules. Check each item rather than assuming that ‘comprehensive’ covers every purifier component.

Check eligibility, TDS limits and existing faults

Some plans are offered only within a stated feed-water TDS range or for compatible domestic purifier configurations. Eligibility may depend on inspection, water source, purifier condition and whether parts are serviceable.

Pre-existing faults should be recorded before activation. If chargeable work is required to bring the purifier into working condition, the estimate and the AMC start point should be clear before payment.

Review validity, warranty and relocation wording

Confirm the activation date, expiry date and whether any service warranty is limited to the same issue and recorded work. A follow-up warranty should not be confused with an extension of AMC validity or fresh coverage after expiry.

Installation, uninstallation and reinstallation may remain chargeable even under an AMC. If you may move, read the relocation and service-area rules and ask whether the address must be updated.

Keep the plan, invoice and service records

The invoice should identify the selected plan and validity. Each visit should record the work completed, readings where relevant and parts replaced against entitlement. This creates a usable history for later complaints and renewal decisions.

Compare the detailed coverage table and exclusions before choosing. Aquafresh RO Service publishes plan-specific limits and accepts AMC enquiries across approved Delhi NCR locations after eligibility inspection.
